1. Definitions

• “Books” refers to both digital e-books and audiobooks distributed by HANDS.
• “Reading” refers to the consumption of Books, including the act of listening to audiobooks.
• “Net Book Revenues” is defined as the gross purchase price of a Book minus merchant processing fees (e.g., credit card transaction fees, Stripe/PayPal fees).

2. Affiliate Activity & Feedback Requirements

To maintain an “Active” status within the HANDS Affiliate Program, Affiliates must engage in ongoing feedback cycles:

• Monthly Requirement: Affiliates must provide feedback on at least one (1) Book they have Read every calendar month using the Affiliate Feedback Submission form.
• Negative Feedback: Any critical or negative feedback must be communicated directly and privately to HANDS via the Affiliate Feedback Submission form to allow for internal review and quality control.
• Positive Feedback: Affiliates are encouraged to share positive experiences publicly. Reviews may be posted to any platform of the Affiliate’s choosing (e.g., Goodreads, Social Media, Personal Websites).
• Reporting: Affiliates must provide a direct URL link of any public review to HANDS within seven (7) days of posting.

3. Commission Structure

Commissions are calculated based on Net Book Revenues and are categorized as follows:

• Product-Specific Links (20%): Affiliates earn a 20% commission on sales of a specific Book for which they have provided a review, provided the purchaser uses that specific product link. The use of Product-Specific Links is intended to boost the sale of books needing particular attention. This commission rate may be replaced by the site-wide rate at any time after the market has become established for that book, as evidenced by the accumulation of 100 ratings or reviews.
• Site-Wide Links (10%): Affiliates earn a 10% commission on any Books purchased through their general site-wide affiliate link.
• Pay-outs occur as soon as an affiliate’s pay-out totals $40 or more and are paid using Zelle.

4. Tracking and Attribution

• Last-Click Policy: The Program operates on a “Last-Click” attribution model. If a purchaser clicks Affiliate A’s link but subsequently clicks Affiliate B’s link before completing the purchase, Affiliate B shall receive the commission.
• Cookie Duration: Affiliate “cookies” remain active for 30 days following a purchaser’s initial visit via the affiliate link. If the purchase occurs after the 30-day window, no commission will be recorded.

5. Privacy and Disclosure

• HANDS Confidentiality: HANDS will not publicly disclose the identity of its Affiliates or the nature of the partnership without prior written consent.
• Affiliate Disclosure: It is the sole responsibility of the Affiliate to decide whether to publicly cite their affiliate relationship.

6. Termination

HANDS reserves the right to terminate this agreement and deactivate affiliate links for any reason, including a situation where the monthly feedback requirement is not met or if the Affiliate violates the “Negative Feedback” private communication policy.
