Download Instructions

These are the instructions on how to read/listen to your downloaded book.  The instructions will also appear on the receipt that is emailed to you. If, for some reason, you need to download the book again, log in to your Customer Portal, accessed from the drop-down from the SHOP menu on the main HANDS page. Use the Magic Link to get a login link in your email if you don’t know your password.

When you download an ebook epub file or audiobook m4b file,

mac/iphone/ipad

• If you’re in the mac/iphone environment on a laptop, just double click either file type to bring up Apple Books. If you’re on an iphone, tap the download button. The file will be placed in the download file configured in Safari. Open the Files app and search for the book. Then tap it. If you’re using Chrome to download, you’ll be given a choice of where to download.
• You can use BookPlayer (free) as a good audiobook player that lets you import the m4b file and maintain a library, showing covers and chapters.

pc/android/tablet

• If you’re in a Windows/Android environment on a laptop, try double-clicking the epub file and see if you have an epub reader installed. If not, you can Send it to Kindle to put the epub in your kindle library. You can also download the free Thorium reader for PCs.
• An excellent free audiobook player for Android is the Sirin Audiobook Player. Downloaded files on Android typically go to a dedicated Downloads folder, located in the device’s internal storage. You can access these files through the Files, My Files, or File Manager app pre-installed on your phone.
